Happy New Year everyone! This is my last post of the year! And what a year it's been. I hope yours has been fabulous too!
I started this business venture about a year and a half ago and, while there was a wedding to plan - and carry out! - during that time, which put photography on hold for a bit, I'm so happy with its accomplishments so far and where its going!
Although I've been shooting for a long time now, starting a new adventure and creating a new style and brand (and everything else that goes with it!) is both daunting and exciting. I'm falling more and more in love with the style of fresh, modern portraiture I shoot, where I can focus on creating beautiful heirloom art pieces for you to cherish forever, with each shoot I do and I hope you'll all continue to follow me on this journey!
My last shoot of the year was the lovely Verity who contacted me wanting to gift her fiancé some beautiful images for Christmas. What a fantastic idea! After meeting for coffee, I realised what a fun and bubbly person Verity is. She is a joy to be around and you can't help but feel like you've known her forever within just a few minutes!
I went round to Verity's the week after our consultation, met one of her cats (who was very cute!) and set up for our shoot.
We had a great time! Verity was a natural in front of the camera and I'm so glad we got to make some awesome images together, which I'm sure her fiancé loved as his Christmas present!
Some nice words Verity left for me after our session:
'I had an absolutely wonderful time, I was so nervous and you put me completely at ease and made all my nerves disappear.'
And I think you'll agree, she rocked it!
As ever, here are some of my favourites.
I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and have a wonderful New Year! Here's to 2017!
