Well, here we go! September has finally arrived (although, where has the year gone?!) and this is launch day of 30 Days of FIERCE!
It has been a privilege to get to know all the amazing women I've met and photographed throughout the year. When I came up with the idea of 30 Days of FIERCE at the end of last year, I wasn't sure how people would react. Part of me thought that a lot of women wouldn't want to share their personal stories with me, a stranger, let alone the world, as they are featured on my blog throughout the month! But, part of me hoped that this experience would help empower women and help them feel confident and comfortable enough to show the world that, whatever you're going through, you're not alone.
And, as it turns out, that's what happened! I met some incredible women with truly amazing stories; stories of heartbreak, struggle and fragility, but ultimately, stories of strength, courage and survival.
I feel honoured that these women have let me in to their lives and let me photograph them. But, more that they have shared their stories with me in the hope that they can let other women know that taboos need to be broken, walls need to be crumbled and stories need to be shared. And above all, that no matter what trying times we face, as women, we know how to walk tall and show the world what we're made of!
Blog posts start on Monday 4th and I'll be posting 4 days a week, with a mix of Inspirational Women, some awesome podcasts to listen to and, of course, my 30 Days of FIERCE ladies and their amazing stories.
We kick off on Monday with Mimi's photoshoot. I'm so excited I can finally start releasing all the fabulous images we captured together.
